About

A small studio
with opinions.

Buzzyto OÜ is a mobile product studio in Tallinn. We make our own apps, and we take on a few client projects we'd want to use ourselves. That's the whole pitch.

The story

Why we exist.

Buzzyto started because we kept building apps inside larger companies that almost turned out the way we wanted them to. Every release shipped with a list of compromises - a tracker we had to add, a feature we knew nobody asked for, a dark pattern someone in a meeting called "engagement."

In 2024 we incorporated in Estonia and started over. Small team, no investors, no growth targets that override product judgment. The apps you see in the Products section are the result.

Client work pays the rent and keeps us sharp. Two or three projects a year, mostly in mobile, mostly with founders we like. We say no to more than we say yes to - that's not a flex, it's how the math has to work for the studio model to mean anything.

"We don't want to be a 50-person agency. We want to be 4-6 people who ship things we're proud of and sleep well."

What we believe

Six principles, not negotiable.

These aren't aspirations or values posters. We've turned down work over each of them.

01

Small on purpose.

Every project goes through the same two or three people. No handoff, no "account team," no junior-on-the-frontline. If you talk to us, you talk to the people doing the work.

02

Slow when it matters.

We move fast on the parts that benefit from velocity (prototypes, iterations) and deliberately slow on the parts that don't (architecture, accessibility, the model layer). Most studios get this backwards.

03

No dark patterns. Ever.

No fake urgency, no roach-motel cancel flows, no opt-outs hidden three taps deep, no growth tactic that depends on a user being slightly confused. If it requires guilt or trickery, we're out.

04

Respect the device.

A mobile app should respect your battery, your storage, your data plan, and your attention. We optimize for budget Android phones first - if it works there, it works everywhere.

05

Boring tech, where possible.

Kotlin, Swift, the platform SDK. We pick frameworks for problems they actually solve, not because they're on the front page of Hacker News this week.

06

Ship, then talk.

We don't pre-announce. We don't do roadmap theater. When something's ready, you'll see it on this site or in a store listing. Until then, assume it doesn't exist.

The team

Two founders, a handful of friends.

The studio is two of us full-time. We bring in people we've worked with before when a project needs them - never strangers, never offshore farms.

Working with us

How a project starts.

Week 0

You write us.

A short note about what you're working on. We reply within 2 business days, usually sooner.

Week 1

30-minute call.

We figure out if it's a fit. About half the time it isn't - we'll tell you, and recommend someone if we know one.

Week 2

Scoping doc.

A short written proposal. Phases, deliverables, timeline, fixed price for the first phase.

Week 3+

We start.

Weekly demos. You always have access to the work-in-progress branch. No surprises at the end.

Where

Tallinn, Estonia.

We're in Kesklinn - a 10-minute walk from the old town. Estonia's e-Residency, fast banking, and EU jurisdiction make it a sensible place to run a small studio. Time zone: EET (UTC+2), overlaps cleanly with most of Europe and the US East Coast morning.
